About

Hey there friends! My name is Keri-lee Griffiths, and I’m The Wandering Cripple.

I was diagnosed with chronic renal failure when I was three years old. Since then, I’ve had three kidney transplants. I’ve been clinically dead multiple times. I’ve had more surgeries than I can count, and by all accounts, I shouldn’t be here. But I’m here. I’m still alive. Somehow, for some reason, I’m still alive.

For years, people have asked me to talk about my life, and what I’ve been through. I always shake my head and change the subject. My life, my past, isn’t something I want to face or relive. Who wants to relive the worst moments of their lives? Then again, keeping it bottled up inside doesn’t help anyone.

Over the last few years, I’ve been telling my story and sharing my life experience. I never imagined anyone would care, or read, the words I put on paper. I can honestly say that no one is more surprised by the response than I am. I see the numbers, I read the comments, and something truly amazing is coming out of something horrible.

A community is forming around the idea that none of us are alone.

Please be good to yourself and each other.
